LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — According to the city, the Police Memorial Park in Las Vegas will be closed for several months for renovations.
The park will be closed on Tuesday, September 3, as several new attractions are being installed, the city of Las Vegas said in a statement on Monday.
Changes include additional pickleball courts, three new shade structures with expanded picnic areas, new equipment for two playgrounds and a new dog memorial.

The teams will also resurface the existing basketball and pickleball courts, replace some of the natural grass, and expand and improve the dog park.
The park's barbecue areas, toilets, tennis courts, hiking trails and skate park will remain.
The renovation work is expected to take about eight months. For safety reasons, the park will be closed during this time.
Police Memorial Park is located at 3250 Metro Academy Way, near Cheyenne Avenue and Grand Canyon Drive.
