Since classes are in session at most colleges and universities in the United States, Sisterhood Rush is either in full swing or already over. Colorado will start on Wednesday, but Chi Omega has gotten a head start by Shedeur Sanders To TikTok.
It was a brilliant strategy that, if we're honest, was pretty tough.
RushTok, for those who have lived completely isolated lives, has become extremely popular in recent years, especially in Alabama. There are two sides: active members and potential new members.
On the one hand, PNMs document what they wear on each recruitment day.
Some of her outfits (including jewelry) cost more than $20,000 in total. Seriously.
On the other side of RushTok, sororities try to stand out by going viral on social media during the work week, performing all kinds of choreographed dances, skits, and stunts.
Here is Tennessee:
State of Arizona:
South Georgia:
Even small schools like Chapman University:
You know what I mean. It's a very, very big deal. Every house in the series wants to put out the best content. More views means more engagement, which directly correlates to more PNMs!
Chi Omega in Boulder did a zigzag course when everyone else was zigzagging, and it worked to their advantage. They went super viral.
Just as an example, this is what Theta is planning to do:
Chi-O, meanwhile, pulled out their best (imaginary) watches and hit “The Shedeur” while rocking out to Sanders' rap song with a fisheye lens. The video garnered over half a million views on TikTok in three days, and that's not including the views from X or Instagram.
Colorado's starting quarterback also posted @hattiemholmes' video on Reels on Instagram, which garnered millions of views on its own. Needless to say, Chi Omega went incredibly viral right before the recruitment.
Although its origins are questionable, the watch celebration has become a staple of college football. And now it's a staple of the sorority scene!
