Victim of shooting in Northern District is being treated

On August 28, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Southeast District Patrol Officers responded to a local hospital where a shooting victim had to be admitted without an appointment for treatment.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Baltimore Police officers spoke with the 30-year-old female victim, who had an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. The victim is in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was at the intersection of Greenmount Avenue and 33rd Street when she was shot.

Detectives from the Northern District Shooting arrived at the scene and took over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northern District Shooting Detectives at 410-396-2455.
