NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Two men were arrested following an armed robbery on Saturday, August 24, 2024, after a videographer was lured to a location under the pretense of filming a music video and then robbed at knifepoint.
New Rochelle Police responded to a report of a robbery at knifepoint at 45 May Street at approximately 10:38 p.m. The victim, a 23-year-old videographer, had been contacted via Instagram about filming a music video at the location.
Upon his arrival, he was confronted by two black men and one Hispanic man, who turned out to be the perpetrators of the robbery.
After the victim set up his equipment, the suspects threatened him with a knife and demanded his video equipment, including two video cameras, a camera lens, and additional video equipment valued at $5,700.
The suspects fled the scene with the stolen goods and the victim attempted to pursue them but was unable to catch them. He then called the New Rochelle Police Department for assistance.
Officers responding to the call quickly received descriptions of the suspects and relayed that information over the police radio. A New Rochelle officer soon spotted two of the suspects nearby and arrested them.
The victim later identified Lonell Alexander and Kyle Miller as two of the three people who robbed him. In addition to the stolen video equipment, Alexander and Miller were found to have several knives, brass knuckles, and a pellet gun.
The New Rochelle Criminal Investigation Department continues to investigate the crime and is actively searching for the third suspect involved in the robbery. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the New Rochelle Police Department at 914-654-2270.

- Woman shot on Texas Avenue in southeast DC
WASHINGTON, DC – A woman was hospitalized in Southeast Washington on Wednesday afternoon after she was shot. The incident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of Texas Avenue.
When police arrived at the scene, the woman was conscious and breathing despite her gunshot wound. She was taken to hospital for treatment, but her condition was unknown as of Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting is currently under investigation and authorities are asking anyone with information to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
- DC Police Release Photos in Search for Armed Robbery Suspects
WASHINGTON, DC – Authorities are asking the public for help in identifying suspects involved in two armed robberies that occurred in Southeast Washington on Monday, August 26. In both incidents, the suspects entered stores, displayed firearms and stole money before fleeing the scene.
The first robbery occurred at approximately 12:24 p.m. in the 3800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. The second occurred shortly thereafter, at approximately 12:46 p.m., in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
Recently released surveillance photos show images of the suspects.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Anyone with knowledge of these incidents is asked to contact DC Metro Police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
