Store owners told ABC7 Chicago that replacing the doors and security gate will cost thousands of dollars.

The crime occurred shortly before 2 a.m. at a gas station on the corner of 76th Street and South Chicago.

Surveillance video shows a group of people attaching a chain to the back of a black pickup truck and connecting it to the store's security gate.

The truck driver then accelerates and tears off the doors of the building.

The surveillance video shows the criminals taking an ATM after gaining access to the store.

They place the ATM on the back of the truck and drive off within a few minutes.

This latest break-in came after Chicago police issued a public alert warning businesses about at least 20 other similar break-ins on the South Side.
