Tennis fans, the final Grand Slam of the season is finally here. The 2024 US Open kicked off this week at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. This year's defending US Open champions are Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovik. Djokovic just won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics but is seeded No. 2. Jannik Sinner is seeded No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz is seeded No. 3. In the women's singles, Gauff is seeded No. 3 behind Iga Świątek (1) and Aryna Sabalenka (2). The tennis stars lead a field and play for a record $75 million, the highest prize money ever at the Open.

Today's main matches include a clash between American Jessica Pegula and Sofia Kenin in the afternoon and evening matches between Naomi Osaka and Karolina Muchova and Carlos Alcaraz against Botic Van De Zandschulp. Here is the full US Open schedule.
