BARCELONA, Spain—Video intelligence solutions provider NPAW has announced that it will release an updated version for App Analytics and showcase the new features at IBC 2024. The new NPAW App Analytics will allow users to view app crashes and errors on all their streaming apps.
“The new App Analytics has extensive AI-powered capabilities to detect app and website crashes and errors, sign-in errors, failed logins and UI issues,” explains Till Sudworth, Head of NPAW's Video Business Unit and Head of App Analytics for the company. “It also learns about the customer's apps, allowing it to identify anomalies much faster and provide solutions, making video services much more resilient.”
The updated application performance monitoring solution includes key features such as:
- Highlight critical app errors and crashes
- Combines app diagnostic data with video analytics data
- Comprehensive analysis with AI support
- Detect slow website loading times and frozen pages
- New dashboards with detailed information on “App errors and crashes”, “Web performance” and “Registration and login errors”.
- Easy integration with the NPAW V7 plugin
It also covers common use cases that streaming providers struggle with and that impact Application Quality of Experience (QoE):
- Login/Registration QoE – diagnoses error rates and statistics for login, sign-up, and TV pair flows. The most common errors and crashes that prevent logins and registrations.
- Web/App QoE – detects issues with app loading, page loading, average interaction time, and more.
- API QoE – logs API/backend anomalies for all client app pages/screens.
