ITHACA, NY — Ithaca police arrested three people Wednesday on suspicion of involvement in a June 28 shooting in Ithaca.
Sergeant Christopher Cady announced the arrests in a press release on Thursday. Jeremiah Greenidge (25), Daquan Graves (31) and Rashid Mack (25), all of Ithaca, were arrested during the course of Thursday. Greenidge had previously been arrested for possession of a firearm following a search in connection with the shooting.
All three were charged with attempted second-degree murder, attempted first-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The June incident involved two shootings reported within 20 minutes of each other, one in the 400 block of Adams Street and one in the 100 block of West Village Place.
According to police, no one was injured in connection with the calls. However, another car crash that occurred later that same day, June 28, was also linked to the shootings, leaving one person with minor injuries.
All three were arraigned in Tompkins County District Court. When Graves was arrested Wednesday, police said a search of his property found a stolen handgun, a high-capacity magazine, various illegal drugs and packaging materials. In addition to charges related to the shooting, he faces a number of drug-related offenses.
Apparently Mack was already in custody elsewhere, as Cady's press release states that he was brought here from another correctional facility for his arrest and arraignment.
