Fantasy football rankings 2024, draft prep: QB, WR, RB and TE picks, cheat sheet, ADP, tiers, based on an NFL model

It's always important to have a clear 2024 fantasy football draft strategy before you go, but adaptability is also key. You may have a plan for what positions you'll take at each stage of the draft, but you may find multiple options in your 2024 fantasy football tiers. A reliable set of live-updated 2024 fantasy football rankings can help you make sure you're ready to pivot at a moment's notice. On average, six running backs come off the board between picks 57 and 68 in the 2024 fantasy football ADP, so if you're looking for a second or third running back at that point, you'll need to be prepared.

Who offers the most value in this group and who are the top players to target in the 2024 fantasy football QB rankings, 2024 fantasy football RB rankings, 2024 fantasy football WR rankings and 2024 fantasy football TE rankings? If you're looking for 2024 fantasy football picks, be sure to check out the 2024 fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Last year, the model correctly predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would not meet his fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver taken off the board on average. He managed a 1,000-yard season but had just 72 receptions with four touchdowns and finished the season as the No. 34 fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has proven itself to be effective in providing fantasy football picks. It identified AJ Brown as a surprise pick in 2020 and predicted Jonathan Taylor's monstrous 2021 season. Additionally, it has predicted previous fantasy football surprise picks like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anyone who has bet on players like these has had a good run at their championship titles.

The model is developed by the same people who create the projections for all three major fantasy sites, and it beat the human experts last season when there was a huge difference in the rankings. The Fantasy Football 2024 PPR rankings and standard Fantasy Football 2024 projections are updated multiple times a day, so you'll always get the best fantasy football tips and the latest fantasy football tiers.

Top QB Rankings for Fantasy Football 2024

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three fantasy football QB picks for 2024:

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: After the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, the Bills' management seems to want to put even more on Allen's plate. This could lead to his most productive season ever as he tries to win games for the Bills with every effort he makes this year.

2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: If you average a rushing TD per game (27 TDs in the last 28 games), then you have a very high fantasy minimum. With Philly's additions at RB, WR and offensive coordinator, Hurts should then be able to reach his fantasy maximum – a top-three fantasy QB – which he has been every year for the last two years.

3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Despite rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns last year, Jackson said he has lost 15 pounds to become more difficult to catch as a runner. That's a positive sign, as is the development of young receivers in Baltimore like Zay Flowers and Isaiah Likely, who helped Jackson post the highest passing percentage of his career last season. Top RB Rankings in 2024 Fantasy Football

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three RB picks for Fantasy Football 2024:

1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: In his last four winning seasons, McCaffrey finished first, first, second and third in positional fantasy points. There's even room for improvement in 2024, as McCaffrey's 67 receptions last year were only the fifth-most of his seven-year career.

2. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: As great as Barkley was in New York, his potential reached new heights in Philadelphia. The Giants ranked 26th or worse in passing each of the last four years, meaning Barkley faced crowded boxes. Philly's offensive balance should open up running lanes after Barkley averaged just 4.0 yards per carry over the last four years, compared to 4.8 in his first two seasons.

3. Breece Hall, New York Jets: Fantasy managers should look to acquire the unlocked version of Hall after he recovered from his torn ACL early last season. From Week 5 to Week 18 last year, Hall ranked second among all running backs in fantasy points, with only McCaffrey better. Find more top RBs here.

Top WR Rankings for Fantasy Football 2024

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three WR picks for Fantasy Football 2024:

1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: A four-year, $136 million contract extension ended Lamb's sabbatical, and now the former first-round pick can once again dominate opposing defenses. Lamb's numbers have improved in each of his four years in the NFL, but even if he can't improve on the 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns he had in 2023, he's still worth considering if you see him near the top of your 2024 fantasy football drafts.

2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Hill traded from Patrick Mahomes for Tua Tagovailoa in 2022 and most predicted his performance would suffer. Instead, he caught 238 passes for 3,509 yards with 20 touchdowns in his two seasons in Miami. There's no reason to believe that will change in 2024, and he remains one of the safest first-round options this draft season.

3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: A fourth-round pick in 2021, St. Brown quickly worked his way up the ranks as a rookie and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2022. He went on to catch 119 passes for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns and was selected to the All-Pro first team in 2023 despite battling several persistent injuries. He's healthy entering 2024, and it's possible he's just scratching the surface of his potential. For more top WRs, check out here.

Top TE Rankings for Fantasy Football 2024

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three TE picks for Fantasy Football 2024:

1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: With the additions of Marquise Brown, Xavier Worthy and JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kansas City has more opportunities as pass receivers, which also benefits Kelce. Their presence means he will face fewer double coverages, which partially led to the slight dip in his numbers last season.

2. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: In his last 17 regular season games, Andrews is 76-903-6. He is the most consistent tight end in the league and before an injury limited him to 10 games in 2023, he was among the top five TEs in fantasy points over the last four seasons.

3. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: The second-round pick set an NFL rookie record for tight ends last year with 86 catches. But his potential is even higher in 2024, possibly in terms of his touchdowns, as LaPorta didn't become a redzone option until midseason. He had just three redzone targets and one TD in the first seven games before having 12 redzone targets and seven TDs in the final 10 games. For more top TEs, check out here.
