Kelly, 34, fired the first shot when he appeared on Logan Paul's “Impaulsive” podcast on Wednesday, August 29, where he recalled seeing Orton at SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio.
“When I was in the ring [at SummerSlam] “I just wanted to tell Logan what was going on and see what we could work out for the show. That's when I saw Randy Orton, and I remember Randy Orton talking shit about me,” he recalled. “And I thought, there's a point where I'm going to try a new version of myself. And then, three, two, one, I thought, screw it, 'Aye, man, fuck you.'”
Paul attended SummerSlam but did not witness the encounter. He asked Kelly if it really happened and the rapper confirmed it.

“Yes [that really happened],” he said. “I don't know where you were, but I remember all my guys sitting there thinking, 'Is this real? Is this part of the script? I don't know what's happening here.' Orton, 44, got wind of Kelly's report and accused Kelly to X of being a liar.

Less than 50 minutes later, Kelly responded.
“You have my number and by the way you know why you have it but I'm not going to attack you for it. Check your text ?,” he replied, adding, “The cameras were rolling and tell WWE to put this out ??♂️??.”

A few minutes later, Kelly posted again, this time outside the thread, and seemed to allude to the argument, writing, “You always get upset about the truth.”
Orton has not responded yet.
While wrestlers Xavier Woods did not witness the exchange, but denied it on social media on Wednesday evening via X.
“If there's one thing I know about Randy Orton, it's that if someone actually cursed him to his face, that person wouldn't be able to tell the story anymore,” he wrote.
SummerSlam 2024 took place on August 3 at Cleveland Browns Stadium, with Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa in the main event. Paul also participated and lost LA KnightKelly played a role in this match by helping Paul by handing him a pair of brass knuckles.
