As in previous years, the multiplayer of the upcoming Call of Duty game can be tried out in a beta phase in 2024. This time it is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which is being developed by Treyarch and comes with a whole range of new and improved elements.

Other than that, I didn't encounter any major problems in my first hour with the Black Ops 6 beta. On the contrary, my previous matches (including Domination on Derelict) have been really fun – even though I got a pretty good beating.
This is due, among other things, to the adjusted time-to-kill and the fast movement system, which I actually like better than I thought because it allows for many surprising maneuvers. These will now need to be rehearsed a little more in the next few days.

The Black Ops 6 beta is live!
The multiplayer beta went live almost 15 minutes later than planned. I can definitely start matches on my Xbox Series X. I'm going to play a few rounds now and keep an eye out for any technical issues.

Training area in the beta
One of the big new features in Black Ops 6 is the revised movement system. There is a separate training area to try it out. And it is already included in the beta.

We welcome you to our live ticker for the start of the early access multiplayer beta of CoD: Black Ops 6! It starts in 11 hours, I (Tobi) am going to get myself a coffee and am already looking forward to giving out a few beta codes later.
Can everyone participate in the beta? No. This first beta phase is reserved for all those who pre-ordered Black Ops 6. In addition, anyone with a Game Pass (Ultimate) subscription can also participate in the beta – regardless of a pre-order.
In the second planned beta phase (September 6th to 9th) everyone can get started.
During the day we will total of 10 beta codes who are also eligible to participate in the Early Access Beta. If you receive a code, you can redeem it as follows.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC. On Xbox consoles, the shooter will be available in Game Pass directly at launch, and some parts of the game will also be available earlier via Early Access.
