2. Bundesliga on Saturday: 1. FC Kaiserslautern welcomes Hertha BSC

The Palatinate team has made a good start to the season, with seven points from the first three games. Coach Markus Anfang's team picked up three points against both newly promoted teams SSV Ulm and Preußen Münster. Only against SpVgg Greuther Fürth did they manage a draw. The FCK is also in the second round of the DFB Cup, after a narrow 2-1 win against third division team FC Ingolstadt.

Despite the solid points tally, it was believed at the beginning that his team was capable of more. “I am convinced that we can be much better in football!” said the coach after the victory in Münster. Lautern has the chance to prove this on Saturday against Hertha BSC. The Berliners started the season with a defeat against Paderborn, but were then able to record a draw against HSV and a victory against newly promoted Jahn Regensburg. In the DFB Cup, the 'Old Lady' prevailed against Hansa Rostock.
