As the “Sun” writes, the Dubai-based star chef was in the UK on business. On Monday, August 26, 2024, Mussie Imnetu left the “Arts Club” on Dover Street in London's Mayfair district at around 1 p.m. At the time, the top chef was alone and wearing a blue T-shirt, black jeans and a cap. A few hours later, around 10:30 p.m., Mussie Imnetu also arrived unaccompanied at a restaurant in Queensway, north of Hyde Park, before he was found seriously injured nearby about an hour later.

Patrol officers on duty for the Notting Hill Carnival, which was taking place nearby, found Mussie Imnetu unconscious and suffering from a serious head injury. Officers avoided first aid until an ambulance arrived and took the 41-year-old to hospital.

Police reported the arrest following an attempted murder of Mussie Imnetu
Meanwhile, the London Metropolitan Police reported an initial success in its investigation: a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the crime. Despite the arrest, the London police are still looking for witnesses who can provide information about what happened late in the evening of August 26. At the time in question, the London district to the north of Hyde Park was busier than average as the Thames metropolis celebrated the Notting Hill Carnival, which takes place every year in August.
The police are also hoping that witness statements will provide clues as to where Mussie Imnetu was between 1 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and whether the top chef may have had contact with other people or gotten into an argument. Particular attention is being paid to the as yet unidentified people who observed the impending attack on Mussie Imnetu and tried to prevent it.
