TIME ONLINE: Mr. Quasebarth, on Thursday Sahra Wagenknecht was attacked after the end of her speech in Erfurt. You are a BSW candidate and are on stage with her. How did you experience the incident?
Quasebarth:
Sahra had finished her speech and there was applause. I came on stage to present the event. Suddenly I saw movement, a man in a white shirt. And at the same moment something red sprayed towards me. I held my clipboard in front of me to protect it. When I turned around, I saw Sahra running towards the stage exit. I ran after her. I was terribly frightened and also felt panicked because I had put something in my mouth. My first thought was: I hope it's not a present. Then I saw that Sahra had paint on her dress, on her cheek and on her neck; but also that people were looking after her. My next thought was actually: I have to look after the people, calm them down.
