Gaza City | The American army says it has found six more hostages in the Gaza Strip.

The four men and two women were probably killed only after a 52-year-old man was rescued alive from the Gaza Strip last week, the army said on Sunday.

The six bodies were recovered from a tunnel near Rafah, just about a kilometer away from last week's rescue operation.

The number of remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip has now fallen from around 250 to probably 102. It is unclear how many of them are still alive.

Hamas abducted the hostages from Israel on October 7 and murdered over a thousand people at the same time. Since then, Israel has been carrying out a continuous retaliatory attack in the Gaza Strip, with tens of thousands of deaths presumably occurring.
