Gojira on their new album: “We are in the middle of it”

It's been three years since Gojira released their latest album “Fortitude”. This was followed by tours, festival appearances and a legendary performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Now it's time for a new album. The band probably thought so too and worked hard on a successor to the 2021 album.

Gojira puts mittens in the works for the new album

Like frontman Joe Duplantier In an interview with Loudwire Nights, they said they are “in the middle” working on a new longplayer.

He did not reveal when exactly we can expect it, but he did say what we can expect musically. And in this respect, “forward” go (via ThePRP).

“It's hard to tell people what it's going to be and I don't want people to be surprised either. But we're working, we're working, we're trying to deliver something that's meaningful and impactful. We're very ambitious when it comes to writing songs. We want to take a clear step forward and upward with this album, so we're putting all our love and energy into it.”

We are very excited, we want to get hold of the good piece and we will wait patiently until then. Overall, the next new work is the eighth studio album by Gojira.

And who knows… maybe we will be able to hear one or two new songs or even the entire work during the upcoming festival appearances in 2025. The combo is currently only available for the Festival “Reload”the Summer Breeze Open Air and that Wacken Open Air confirmed.
