The main gameplay loop is solid, but the lack of meta progression goals combined with the fact that each run is an “endless” run wears off after a while.
There is also a criticism that is often mentioned. Many players feel that meta-progression is missing: there is nothing to upgrade or achievements to achieve. In each run, it is all about getting further and further in order to beat your own high score.
On SteamDB you can see that the game had a peak of 5800 simultaneous players. On x.com the developer celebrated that after just 6 hours they had already reached 5000 players and 10,000 sales worldwide.
